5 make-up and skin tips!

Hey everyone! Here are some tips that might come in handy! Do you have any make-up related tips? Let me know in the comments or on my Facebook page!

1. Need to ride your bike through the rain or when it's windy? Wear a pair of fake glasses to prevent your make-up from running!

2. Out of blush, or forgot to bring it? A tiny bit of lipstick can do the trick! just dab some onto your finger, gently blend it out onto your cheek and voila! Looks just like regular blush!

3. Have a special event where you want your skin to look as good as possible? Try to wear as less makeup as possible a couple days before the event, paying special attention to leaving out any foundation. Your skin needs to breathe! Give it a "day off", preferably more, and you'll be rewarded with good results!

4. This can't be mentioned too many times, and it's probably the most important thing when it comes to make-up. Remove it! Before you go to bed, remove every last bit of make-up. You're not the only one resting while you sleep; your skin is resting and recovering too! If you don't remove your makeup chances are you'll get wrinkles early (especially around the eyes) and it's just really bad for your skin in general to leave your makeup on overnight.

5. Know your skin type! Different skin types require different products. In order to take care of your skin, you have to know and respect it's limits and use products that are suitable for your skin type.

Sheetmasks!

I've been using these for quite a while now, and honestly, I think they're amazing. Now for those of you who do not know, sheet masks are facial masks, A great way to clean your skin and to take good care of it. You can get them in packages of one, but also in bigger sets. I recommend to just get a couple different ones and see which one you like best!

The reason why I like sheet masks so much is because they're very quick and easy to apply. Of course, I like masks you have to apply bit by bit (Yoghurt masks, Clay masks, etc..) too, but if I'm short on time, I just go for a sheet mask. Just open the package, take it out and gently put it on your face. Most sheet masks stick pretty well by themselves, but the brand I'm using right now tends to fall off so I like to lie down while it's on. With sheet masks you don't need extra time to apply it, nor to take it off. The moist of the mask is invisible on your skin, so after leaving it on for a while you just take it off and you're ready to go!

After taking off the mask, I like to fold it a bit and softly dab it onto my skin to really get all that moist in there and to make sure that it's spread out evenly.

So if you're busy like Jonghyun, or lazy like me, sheet masks are a great way to save time and still give your skin a little treat!

Take care,

May.

Fishtail look in 3 minutes!

Hello everyone!

Don't you all just love the fish tail braid? I personally think it's really pretty and it's a nice twist to a regular braid. Today, I've uploaded a tutorial on youtube that literally gives the braid a 'twist'!

Watch the video right here and learn how to create this fake fishtail yourself!

Gradient lips: One look, four products!

This blog will show you one look, created with four different products! I plan to do more of these 1 - 4 series, so hopefully you'll find this helpful! Note that all the following pictures look very similar, but that's because I like this look in a particular shade of pink, so all my products are in the same shade!

The first look is created with lip stain, smooch proof 16H lip stain by NYC to be exact. I believe that the color is '494'. Because lip stain doesn't have any shine to it, I applied a little clear lipgloss on top of it to blend out the color a little better and to add some shine.

The second look is created with lip tint. I used gel tint by essence and the color is 01: hot red. I use red lip tint to create a pink look because I've learned that the color turns out a lot lighter when you start blending it out. If you want your lips to turn out red, I recommend getting a dark red color! My gel tint actually has enough shine by itself so I didn't have to use any clear lipgloss.

The third look was created with lipgloss. I used 180: little red dress by Catrice, but the color is actually pink, both in the bottle and on my lips. Again, no need for clear lipgloss because the pink one already had a nice shine to it.

The fourth and final look was created with lipstick. I used two shades and blended the colors together. First I applied NYC's 417: flirty, and then nearly on the inside of my lips I applied a tiny bit of the Hema's volumising lipstick, a pretty red color in the shade 06.

Personally, I prefer using a combination of lip stain and lip tint, because the lip stain lasts really long and the gel tint adds just the right amount of shine. When it comes to the separate products and looks, here's my personal top 4:

1. Lip stain.
I carry it around with me all the time. It's really easy to apply and I don't need a mirror to re-apply it. Bad side is that I have to use a clear lipgloss to make it look better.

2. Gel tint.
Like I mentioned before, it's a nice color and shine, but from my experience it doesn't last as long as most people claim it does.

3. Lipstick.
I think this look actually looks the best, but it takes more time to apply and if I want to re apply I have to have three different products (two lipsticks and clear lipgloss) with me all the time and I prefer carrying around as little as possible.

4. Lipgloss.
This is my least favorite product to use for this look on it's own because it doesn't give as much color. I do like to use it combined with lip stain, but on it's own it's not really my favorite.
